Heavy rain in lombok, Rinjani mountain temporarily closed

Taking into account information from the BMKG Climatology Station Class 1 Mataram about the potential for extreme weather with heavy rain and strong winds around the Mount Rinjani area, the Mount Rinjani National Park Office decided to close the Mount Rinjani National Park area from all tourist activities starting January 2nd, 2022 to March 31st 2022. Apart from bad weather, this closure also aims to restore routine ecosystems after 9 months of being open to tourists.
December 31st, 2021 is the last day for tourists to check in and enter the Mount Rinjani National Park area and must check out no later than January 2nd, 2022.
Rinjani Trekking Center has announced that it will reopen climbing services for tourists starting April 1st, 2022.
