To help keep the mountain beautiful and make sure everyone has a good experience, we kindly ask that you think carefully about what you bring with you.
Please avoid bringing items that could turn into trash or harm the environment. That includes single-use toiletries like shampoo, soap, and lotion in plastic bottles or sachets—these often end up littering the trail. Taking care of the mountain is a shared responsibility, and cutting down on unnecessary waste is a big part of that.
Also, please leave behind anything that might disturb other visitors’ peace and quiet, like speakers or other music devices. Most people come to the mountain to enjoy nature, reflect, and unwind—not to hear loud noises. Let’s keep it that way.
Drones are not allowed unless you’ve gotten official permission beforehand. This rule helps protect everyone’s privacy and safety, as well as the natural surroundings.
Just so you know, National Park officers may confiscate prohibited items at certain checkpoints, especially at Post 2. Getting those items back can be a long and complicated process.
By following these simple guidelines, you’ll be doing your part to protect the environment, keep the trails clean, and help make sure everyone has a safe, peaceful trek.
Thanks for being a responsible traveler and for your cooperation.
