You must be ready at 02:00 AM for the summit trek. The climb to the Summit of Mount Rinjani (3,726 m) takes approximately 3–3.5 hours through steep volcanic sand terrain. Temperatures can drop as low as 4°C, so please prepare proper warm clothing, a jacket, long pants, gloves, and a reliable headlamp. Once you reach the summit, enjoy an unforgettable sunrise view across the Wallace Line towards Bali, Mount Agung, and Sumbawa Island. Take about one hour for photos and to enjoy the spectacular scenery before descending back to the campsite. On the way down along the ridge, you will pass many beautiful edelweiss (Bunga Abadi) plants before returning to camp for a well-deserved breakfast.
After breakfast, you will begin descending to Segara Anak Lake, which takes about 2–2.5 hours. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of the valley and Mount Sangkareang on the west side of Mount Rinjani National Park. Upon arrival, your porter will prepare lunch while your guide takes you to the natural hot springs. Relax, swim, and soak in the hot spring water, believed to have natural healing benefits, perfect for restoring energy and body comfort. Lunch will be served by the lakeside around 12:00–13:00, where you can enjoy the incredible view of the active volcano Mount Baru Jari in the middle of the lake. After lunch, the afternoon is free time to relax, explore, or even enjoy fishing by the lake. Dinner will be served around 6:00 PM.
