Tour Overview

This is a 3-day trekking package to Mount Rinjani National Park. The main goal is to visiting Segara Anak Lake and Crater Rim Senaru at Mount Rinjani National Park. The total duration of this package is 4 days and 3 nights (The trek will last for 3 days and 2 nights). You will stay at our guesthouse in Senaru village on the first day with pick-up service from your arrival port.

Itinerary

Day 1 Pick up at your arrival point

Airport/harbor/your hotel - Senaru Village

Our driver will pick you up at Lombok International Airport or any other area in Lombok, transfer direct to Senaru Village. From airport will take about 3 hours to get to Senaru Village. If still enough time you can have a Senaru waterfall tour after check in at the guest house.

Senaru’s best known attraction is the Sendang Gila waterfall which attracts many thousands of Indonesian and foreign visitors annually. Located at about 600m above sea level, the waterfall is an easy 20 minutes walk from the entrance gate. For the more adventurous, Senaru’s “second waterfall” Tiu Kelep is another hour’s walk upriver from Sendang Gila. The scramble over rocks through the tropical forest is rewarded by the beauty of the waterfall and a swim in its deep pool. It is said locally that every time you swim behind the main waterfall of Tiu Kelep you become a year younger.

Note: Waterfall Tour is not included, you can do the tour by your own, however using a local guide is recommended. Entry ticket is IDR 20.000/person and local guide will cost you between IDR 200.000-300.000.

At 7 pm, you will meet the guide for trekking briefing. If your arrival is late, trekking briefing can be done in the morning after breakfast.

Day 2 Start Trekking From Senaru Gate

Senaru village - Tropical Forest - Crater Rim Senaru

Our driver will do pick up at the guesthouse by 07:00-07:15 AM (After Breakfast - The breakfast will serve starting 06:00 am) then transfer to National Park Gate at Senaru Village. Before start trekking, you are mandatory to do final registration and scan the QRcode of your Trekking Pass at National Park gate. Please make sure you already have the trekking pass, you can ask our staff or download from your dashboard; prepare your passport for verification too.

The first hours of the trek climb steeply through thick tropical forests Ritch in flora, bird life and a variety of butterflies. You might see orchid and if lucky, the rare black ebony leaf monkey, known locally as Lutung. Rest stops are taken along the way. On normal condition, lunch will serve at Post II.

Lunch at Pos 2 Senaru Mount Rinjani National Park

Depending on your speed and weather conditions, the night camp is made either in Senaru crater rim at 2,641m or directly at The lake (2.000). On most case, you will stay at Senaru Crater Rim Campsite and continue to the lake the following day. From the crater rim there are sweeping views across the lake Segara Anak (2,000 m) to the summit of Mt. Rinjani. Within the crater, Mt. Baru Jari ( 2,351m) is an active, last erupting dramatically in 1994 and followed by small eruption on 2004, 2015 and 2016. On a clear evening the Gili Islands, Bali and Mt. Agung can be seen to the west. Crew will set up all necessary gear here (tent, sleeping bag, mattress, pillow and toilet tent) and preparing your dinner.

Day 3 Lake Camp and Relaxing at Hot Spring Water

After breakfast, start descend down to the lake Segara Anak (2,000 m) within the Rinjani crater. The trek route in this point is steep and rocky. Your guide and porters will assist and give you extra attention. On the way down to the lake, you will see the beautiful view of the lake and Mt. Baru Jari (2,351m). Going down the ridge passing numerous Edelweiss plants (Bunga Abadi). It takes two to three hours down the steep trail to the crater lake. The rest of the day is spent by relaxing, swimming in the lake and exploring the hot springs water, believed to have healing powers. You also can do fishing here.

Day 4 Back to Senaru Village

Segara anak lake – Crater rim Senaru – Senaru village – your next destination

About 07:00 am, After breakfast start to comeback to Senaru village through the same way. On normal condition, lunch will be preparing on Post 3, After about 8 hours walk from the Lake, the trek ends at Rinjani Trekking Center Office in Senaru, where the car is waiting to transfer you to your next destination.

Mount Rinjani trekking is considered moderate to challenging. Summit programs require good physical fitness. Beginners are recommended to choose the 2 Days 1 Night Crater Rim program.

Yes. Drop-off within Lombok mainland is included.

Yes, drop-off at a different location within Lombok mainland is possible.

Yes. We can drop you at Bangsal Harbor. Normally arrival is around 4–5 PM, which allows you to catch the public boat. Private speedboat transfer is also available upon request.

Yes, when done with a licensed operator. Our guides are experienced, trained in mountain safety, and equipped with first aid kits and communication devices.

Yes. We strongly recommend having personal travel insurance that covers trekking and outdoor activities.
