Mount Rinjani Reopen after the wildfire

After 16 days closed since October 20th, 2019 due to wildfire, Today November 6th, 2019 Rinjani National Park is Officially Open for trekking, this announced by Official Letter from National Park Management Number PG.890/T.39/TU/KS/11/2019 signed by Head of Rinjani National Park Management on Nov 5th, 2019. “Since it reopened on November 6th, 2019, (Mount Rinjani) began to be crowded again and the tour operators returned excited,” Dedy said.




The climbing routes of Mount Rinjani are permitted, namely to stay on the official paths such as Senaru Gate, Sembalun Gate, Aikberik Gate, and Timbanuh Gate.

Although it has been reopened, Dedy still appealed for climbers not to exceed the Pelawangan.

There are several restrictions that are conveyed by the Gunung Rinjani National Park Office.

“All gates are only allowed until Pelawangan. They cannot go to the top and go down to Segara Anak Lake,” he continued.

For your information, since the 2018 Earthquake, the ascent of Rinjani was reopened on June 14th, 2019.
