Mount Rinjani is currently closed due to the regular seasonal closure. The mountain will officially reopen on April 1st, 2026. This seasonal closure is part of the national park management to ensure safety, trail recovery, and environmental sustainability.
There are no safety concerns on Mount Rinjani or Lombok itself. The destination remains safe and ready for trekking activities once the season reopens. Current travel concerns are related to international flight disruptions in certain regions, not the destination.
