Things to do at Senaru Village on rainy season

Tips and Tricks | Putu Puspa Negara | Monday, January 6th, 2025

In accordance with previous announcements, Mount Rinjani National Park has been closed since January 1 to April 2, 2025 due to high rainfall and the recovery period of the Mount Rinjani National Park eco-system. Due to lack of information, many climbers who have arrived in Senaru village hope to be able to climb Mount Rinjani at this time. Of course, we hope that climbers do not force themselves and are tempted by illegal Trek Organizers who offer illegal climbing services to Mount Rinjani. Legal action could happen to you.

What can be done in Senaru Village and the surrounding area if you are already in Senaru or have plans to come to Senaru Village during this closure period? Here we summarize for you:

1. Visiting Senaru Waterfall

Senaru Village is very well known for the beauty of its waterfalls. There are 2 waterfalls that you can visit in 1 visit, namely Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep. While Gile is only about 20 minutes walk from the entrance by going down the valley. You only need to pay an entrance ticket of IDR. 20,000/person. You can feel the sensation of massage from the rush of this waterfall, the water is so clear that comes directly from the spring on the cliff.

The clarity of the water in this waterfall is not inferior to the Sendang Gile waterfall. Many visitors consider the Tiu Kelep waterfall to be the most beautiful waterfall in Lombok.
