To reach the top of Mount Rinjani, climbers must at least take a 2 day 1 night program. Camping cannot be done at the top of Mount Rinjani. Camping is carried out at Crater Rim Sembalun (+- 3 hours from the summit of Mount Rinjani). The summit attack starts at 3 a.m. and requires you to prepare warm clothing, at least one that can withstand temperatures of 4 degrees Celsius. The wind potential is also quite high so it is recommended to be able to withstand the wind (windstopper). The dominant track conditions are sandy, mountain shoes that have a good grip are highly recommended, also equipped with a gaiter so that sand does not get into the shoes. walking in dark conditions will certainly require lighting, use a head torch so that you are comfortable walking.
