Today, Friday, June 27, 2025, the Mount Rinjani National Park Authority, through its official Instagram account @btnb_gn_rinjani, announced the reopening of Mount Rinjani Summit. According to the official announcement letter numbered PG.2/T.39/TU/KSA.04.01/B/06/2025, signed directly by the Head of Mount Rinjani National Park Authority, the summit of Mount Rinjani will be reopened and accessible to visitors starting from June 28, 2025.
Previously, the summit of Mount Rinjani was closed to the public to facilitate the evacuation process of an accident victim on the trail leading to the summit. The closure began on June 24, 2025, and the evacuation process was completed on June 25, 2025.
The Mount Rinjani National Park Authority emphasizes that all trekking activities must prioritize safety and strictly adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) established by the authority.
