Rinjani Trail Repairs Updated: Awaiting Government Approval to Reopen

Today, July 30, 2025, exactly 11 days since the start of the repair operation on the trail leading to Segara Anak Lake from the Sembalun Crater Rim, all restoration work has been completed. The effort involved multiple parties, including the Mount Rinjani National Park Authority, Rinjani Squad, trekking organizers, porters, and the Ojek Association.

Preparations began on July 20 with the procurement of materials and equipment at the Sembalun Resort Office. Various stakeholders contributed resources to accelerate the reopening of Mount Rinjani trekking activities to normal.

The Trek Organizer Forum (Forum Wisata Lingkar Rinjani) successfully raised Rp112,200,000 from its members. The funds were directly allocated to speed up the repair process, covering material purchases, worker wages, and logistics for teams operating on the mountain. With the completion of these repairs, it is hoped that the hiking trail can be reopened soon, pending final approval from the Central Government.
