Mount Rinjani Trekking Status 2026 – Partially Open

Mount Rinjani National Park is currently partially open for trekking, with access subject to the latest regulations, safety conditions, and available quotas issued by the National Park Authority (TNGR).

⚠️ Torean Route Temporarily Closed

The Torean trekking route is temporarily closed due to a forest fire reported in the Torean Resort area.

The closure is effective from 23 September 2026 until further notice

During this temporary closure:

  • The Torean route cannot be used as a trekking entrance or exit.
  • Trekkers with existing Torean e-tickets may be required to **reschedule or change their entrance/exit route** to another available trekking route.
  • Trekkers currently on the mountain who planned to exit through Torean should follow instructions from TNGR officers and may be directed to exit through Sembalun or Senaru.
  • The reopening of the Torean route will depend on the evaluation of the fire situation and safety conditions by the National Park Authority.

Other Trekking Routes

Other Rinjani trekking routes may remain accessible **subject to the latest TNGR regulations, available quotas, and safety conditions.

We strongly recommend checking the latest trekking status with your trekking operator before departure, as access and quotas may change without prior notice.

Safety comes first. We will continue to monitor official updates from Taman Nasional Gunung Rinjani and update our guests accordingly.
